School of Mechanical Engineering holds an international seminar on the application of fractional calculus and complex mechatronic systems

       On July 6, 2018,The 2018 International Symposium on the Application of Fractional Calculus and Complex Mechatronics Systems, hosted by the School of Mechanical  Engineering of Xi'an University of Technology, was successfully held at Xi'an University of Technology.The conference was presided over by Professor Wang Hongxi, Associate Dean of the School of Mechanical  Engineering of Xi'an University of Technology. The meeting invited internationally renowned experts Igor Podlubny.(Technical University of Kosice, Slovakia;Dingyu Xue,Professor, Northeastern University, China;Youmin Zhang, Concordia University, Canada; YangQuan Chen, Professor, University of California Merced, USA; Shuo Zhang, Associate Professor, Northwest Polytechnic University, School of Sciences; Junyi Cao,Professor, Xi’an Jiao Tong University, School of Mechanical Engineering; Lu Liu, Assistant Professor, Northwest Polytechnic University, School of Marine Science and Technology; Changhong Li, Xianyang 202 Institute; Diyi Chen, Professor, Northwest Forest and Agriculture University, College of Irrigation and Construction; Bin Wang, Associate Professor, Northwest Forest and Agriculture University, College of Irrigation and Construction; Fudong Ge, Associate Professor, China University of Geology, School of Computer and Information Sciences)

The seminar was first organized by Professor Igor Podlubny on the topic “Fractional Order Modeling”.In the report, Prof. Igor Podlubny started with the application and definition of numerical derivatives and integrals, linear fractional differential equations, and introduced the principle and application of fractional order modeling in detail.Secondly, the Yangtze River Scholar and Professor Dingyu Xue of the Hundred People Program of Shaanxi Province introduced “How to do Fractional Order Control in Matlab/Simulink” (How to Perform Fractional Order Control in MATLAB/Simulink)”;Professor Youmin Zhang gave a report on the subject "Fractional Order Control of UAV";Professor YangQuan Chen gave a report on the topic “Fractional Order Mechanics”;Associate Professor Shuo Zhang gave a presentation on the subject of “Theory and applications of fractional order neural networks”; Professor Junyi Cao gave a theme “Fractional order modeling and control in piezo-electrical micro mechatronic systems”. (Report of Fractional Modeling and Control of Piezoelectric MEMS); Lu Liu's theme is "Robust fractional order process control methods for delayed systems" ("Research on Robust Fractional Process Control Methods for Time-Delay Systems") Report; Changhong Li senior engineer's report on the topic "Control engineering practice in fractional Order Servomechanism"; Professor Diyi Chen's theme is "Fractional order modeling and control of complex hydro-mechatronics systems" Report of the application of order calculus in water-electromechanical coupling systems);Associate Professor Bin Wang gave a report on the subject of “Fractional-order finite-time control and its application in hydropower station system”; Associate Professor Fudong Ge gave the theme “Regional analysis of The subject report of the fractional order distributed parameter systems. After the theme report, all the participants had extensive and in-depth exchanges.

      The successful convening of this conference has promoted the exchanges and cooperation between the domestic and foreign countries in the application of fractional calculus and complex mechatronics systems, which enabled our teachers and students to deepen their understanding of the frontiers of the discipline and promote the development of innovation drive in our school. It has played an important role. This symposium completed the established agenda and ended in a strong academic atmosphere.
